This story is given in Luke 19:30-35 but Matthew has two animals involved whereas Luke only has one.They would both appear to be quoting Zechariah 9:9-11.
One learned commentator of my acquaintance, says in his book "From Shadow to Reality" on the fulfilment of prophecy "Jesus must have ridden side-saddle,straddling both the adult and the donkey colt".Scarcely a regal posture.Can anyone shed any light on this problem ?
