Welcome to the Forum.
The intention of this forum is to create a space where we can question, discuss and explore issues concerning Biblical studies. As such, it is a safe environment where no question is too trivial and where new ideas can be explored.
Although we hope to steer the topics with a very light hand, inevitably there are a few house rules.
1. The nature of the discussions will lead, at times, to healthy discussion and argument. However, any postings which are offensive are not acceptable and will be removed.
2. One of the primary aims of this project is to explore the relationship between academic and devotional approaches to Bible study. As such, we are attempting to establish strengths in each approach rather than prove that one approach is beter than the other. In order to accomplish this, it is important that discussions are conducted in a manner of mutual respect to the positions being expressed. We therefore cannot accept postings which are deemed as being derogatory to a faith perspective. Neither can it countenance postings which are essentially proselytising.
